« Le Temps Presse », the first International Festival of engaged and social cinema, is holding its 8th edition. It will showcase, as it does each year, objectives for sutainable development.
The presented films speak of tolerance, the right to difference, innovation, of a changing world.
The festival will be in Niort, France, for World Environment Day.

Its jury is composed of:
Juliette Binoche (actress & President of the jury)
Members : Virginie Ledoyen (actress), Mélanie Thierry (actress),
Patrick Baudry (astronaut), Jean-Michel Cousteau (explorer),
Thierry Marx (chef), Safy Nebbou (director).
By joining all publics together on themes that concern everyone, children, youths and adults, the festival is set in an intergenerational and positive dynamic founded on cinema.
Projection of 5 non-competing feature films, 39 competing short films, 8 round-table talks, hosted and composed of personalities and specialists in environmental and social questions.
"Le Temps presse" is a cinema festival where entertainment meets emotions. All of which builds towards creating awarness and thinking-spaces for an attractive future, together.
8 prizes will be awarded to the competing short films:
Prize for the Environment, Prize for Health and Well-Being, Prize for Biodiversity,
Prize for Gender Equality, Yunus Spirit Prize,
Student Prize, High-Schoolers Prize, and the Children Prize.
