The Friday afternoon session is dedicated to deeper thinking and consideration of the systemic challenges of processing global climate change including evaluating deep time of living systems in comparison to the 21stcentury expectations of human systems, our interdependence on a thriving biosphere, systems theory with Fritjof Capra, the carbon cycle, the difficulty of engagement on large scale issues, the current media environment and providing proposals for scalable public education. This session will be presented as a “Pause” for participants as it will designed to provide shape and context to environmental thinking, allowing attendees to consider, re-consider or construct new approaches to their work. This event has potential to be the most visionary of the three workshops.
